Both roles are field-based positions that prioritize safety compliance at all levels. They are customer-facing roles responsible for hazardous waste collection, transportation, chemical packaging, and on-site environmental services, while also supporting sales growth through upselling, cross-selling, and lead generation.<br><br><strong>*Position requires candidates to be local to Fort McMurray -</strong> <strong>COLA benefit available to those who qualify</strong><strong>*</strong><br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors / Safety-Kleen?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive hourly wage: $36- $38/hr. + commission structure and sign on bonus. </li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component.</li><li>Ability to participate in the company Employee Stock Purchase Plan.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br>Health & Safety Compliance:<br><ul><li>Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work. practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.</li><li>Follow all Federal, Provincial, and local environmental and transportation regulations (TDG).</li><li>Safely operated company vehicles in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li></ul><br>Service & Waste Operations:<br><ul><li>Driving straight trucks customer sites to complete daily scheduled waste services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner.</li><li>Transport waste to company branches and disposal facilities. </li><li>May visit 10-12 customer sites per day.</li><li>Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.</li><li>Service a variety of automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses.</li><li>Inspect drums and storage areas for leaks, spills, labeling compliance, and housekeeping standards.</li><li>Collect, segregate, inspect, and package hazardous and non-hazardous waste.</li></ul><br>Sales Related Tasks: <br><ul><li>Upselling products/ additional services, generating new sales leads.</li><li>Sell additional products and services into existing accounts.</li><li>Actively prospect for new accounts in assigned route.</li><li> Achieve monthly sales targets.</li><li>Work with route drivers to convert new sales opportunities.</li><li>Prepare and deliver customer quotes.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul><br>Documentation & Technical Work:<br><ul><li>Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restriction documentation.</li><li>Understand customer-specific disposal restrictions and special packaging requirements.</li><li>Sample and profile new waste streams that require analytical testing.</li><li>Ensure final project approval prior to shipment.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Must reside locally to the Fort McMurray, Alberta region. </li><li>2+ years of Class 3 driving experience, including experience operating manual-transmission vehicles.</li><li>Must be clean-shaven and able to wear a respirator as required for the position.</li><li>Possess a valid Class 3 Driver's License with clean driving record. </li><li>Demonstrated experience operating straight trucks; vacuum truck experience is considered a strong asset.</li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations and requirements.</li><li>Previous experience in the environmental services industry is highly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is considered an asset.
