The successful candidate will hold a Class AZ License and be responsible for operating a variety of units (Roll off, Luggers, Tankers, Vans etc.) to perform hazardous and non-hazardous waste pickups at various client sites. This is a <strong>Unionized</strong> position.<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5! </li><li> Competitive Wages: $37.27</li><li>10 sick days, 5 personal days, vacation pay.</li><li>Opportunity for overtime hours. </li><li> Urban routes, make it home every night! </li><li>All required PPE and boots are provided. </li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment. </li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component. </li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments. </li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. </li><li>Drive, operate and maintain assigned units (Roll off, Luggers, Tankers, Vans etc.)</li><li>Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste. </li><li>Perform pre-and-post-trip inspections and ensure the equipment is always mechanically sound and in good working order. </li><li>Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations. </li><li>Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork. </li><li>Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors. </li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Valid <strong>Class AZ Commercial Driver's License</strong> with a clean driving record.</li><li>Must be able to maintain a<strong> clean-shaven face</strong> to ensure proper respirator fit.</li><li>Valid <strong>FAST Card</strong> preferred; at minimum, a valid passport with no travel restrictions is required.</li><li>Proven ability to operate manual transmission commercial vehicles.</li><li>Experience with Hazardous Waste transportation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is highly preferred.</li><li>Previous experience operating tankers and/or roll-off trucks is required.</li><li>Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with up to an 18-speed manual transmission.</li><li>Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.</li></ul><br>40-years of sustainability in action.
