Reporting to the lab manager, the successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to perform specific analytical methods in support of the SPL receipts and other analytical tasks as assigned.<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and safety are our #1 priority, and we live by the 3-6-5 rule!</li><li>Pay starting at $ 33.40</li><li>Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (40 hours)</li><li>Full health benefits coverage after 30 days</li><li>Group retirement savings plan with company matching</li><li>Growth and development opportunities at every stage of your career</li><li>Generous paid time off, company-paid training, and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Complete analysis of samples received from operations, sales, or internal compliance. </li><li>Follow methods approved by the Lambton laboratory and use critical thinking skills in interpreting results and recommending disposal options.</li><li>Perform his/her job in a manner consistent with the company standards. </li><li>Maintain laboratory equipment by calibration inspection and equipment tests to ensure reliability and accurate results. </li><li>Perform minor repairs/maintenance on instrumentation.</li><li>Provide support to Operations in the event of an emergency.</li><li>Sample and test materials identified as part of the Facilities Certificates of Approval.</li><li>Log and manage all samples entering the laboratory.</li><li>Carries out communications with other plant staff when necessary, in a professional manner. </li><li>Complies with company standards and assists in maintaining, with respect to safety, laboratory operations, environmental control, security and housekeeping.</li><li>Provide rapid and accurate records</li><li>Maintain records of analysis</li><li>Provide support to operations group </li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Education/Experience: Chemical Technology Diploma, or equivalent</li><li>Good computer skills (knowledgeable MS Word, Excel) </li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Proficiency with bomb calorimetry, ion chromatography, titrimetric and gravimetric methods, </li><li>Basic solution chemistry, as well as other general laboratory hardware. </li><li>Must be proficient in WIN</li></ul><br><strong>Over 40 years of sustainability in action.
