The successful candidate will hold a Class AZ License and be responsible for operating Dry Vans to transport waste from client sites and take it back to an assigned facility for disposal. The operator will be compliant in all aspects of transportation and health and safety regulations. <br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive hourly wage: $34/hr. + opportunity for overtime. </li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component.</li><li>Ability to participate in the company Employee Stock Purchase Plan.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.</li><li>Drive, operate and maintain assigned units (Dry Vans) to customer sites.</li><li>Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste.</li><li>Perform pre-and-post-trip inspections and ensure the equipment is always mechanically sound and in good working order.</li><li>Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations.</li><li>Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork.</li><li>Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors.</li><li>Verify drum counts, inspect container conditions, and ensure all materials meet shipping and handling requirements.</li><li>Operate material handling equipment and safely move drums, totes, skids, and containers.</li><li>All other duties as required. </li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Valid Class AZ Driver's License required with experience operating Dry Vans. </li><li>Clean driving record with reliable transportation to commute to the facility every day. </li><li>Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification and hazardous waste handling experience highly preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to operate vehicles equipped with an 18-speed manual transmission highly preferred.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including loading and unloading vehicles.</li><li>Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including drug and alcohol testing.</li></ul><br><strong>Join our team today!</strong> To learn more about our company, and to apply online for this exciting opportunity, visit us at www.cleanharbors.com/careers <br><br><strong>Clean Harbors</strong> is the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
