The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, operational excellence, and environmental compliance while delivering exceptional service to customers.<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive hourly wage: $34/hr. + overtime opportunities.</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage at 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component.</li><li>Ability to participate in the company Employee Stock Purchase Plan.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br>Transportation & Equipment Operations:<br><ul><li>Responsible for the transportation of hazardous/non-hazardous waste adhering to Transport Canada and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations/requirements.</li><li>Safely operate and maintain assigned commercial vehicles, including straight trucks, van trailers, and other fleet equipment.</li><li>Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles remain mechanically sound and roadworthy.</li><li>Ensure proper vehicle placarding, load securement, and documentation in accordance with applicable regulations.</li><li>Drive in a safe and professional manner while maintaining compliance with all transportation laws and company policies.</li></ul><br>Waste Management Operations: <br><ul><li>Load, unload, package, sort, segregate, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.</li><li>Prepare shipping labels, manifests, bills of lading, and other transportation documents using company software and technology platforms.</li><li>Verify drum counts, inspect container conditions, and ensure all materials meet shipping and handling requirements.</li><li>Perform quality control checks and accurately sort waste streams according to customer contracts and regulatory standards.</li><li>Support waste segregation, lab packing, and material consolidation activities as required.</li><li>Operate material handling equipment and safely move drums, totes, skids, and containers.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Valid Class AZ Driver's License required with experience operating. </li><li>Clean driving record. </li><li>Reliable transportation to commute to the facility every day. </li><li>Previous hazardous waste, environmental services, or industrial services preferred.</li><li>Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification and hazardous waste handling experience highly preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to operate vehicles equipped with an 18-speed manual transmission.</li><li>Experience with waste segregation, lab packing, and environmental compliance practices is an asset.</li><li>Strong understanding of transportation safety, load securement, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including loading and unloading vehicles.</li><li>Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including drug and alcohol testing.</li></ul><br><strong>Join our team today!</strong> To learn more about our company, and to apply online for this exciting opportunity, visit us at https://careersca.cleanharbors.com/ <br><br><strong>Clean Harbors</strong> is the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
