The Lab Chemist is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses or experiments in our lab for quality control and landfill acceptance criteria. (ex., calibration logs, run logs, etc.).</li><li>Calibrates, maintains and operates various types of analytical equipment in compliance with the chemical hygiene plan.</li><li>Responsible for proper management of the waste generated from the chemical processes of analysis.</li><li>Reviews all applicable laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), annually, and achieves a satisfactory score on SOP quizzes.</li><li>Responsibility for maintaining a clean and organized work environment while communicating inventory needs.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Preferred: Bachelor's Degree-Chemistry, diploma or equivalent</li><li>Experience: 0 to 3 years</li><li>Alternative: Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills </li><li>Good organizational skills, decisiveness and initiative.</li><li>Problem solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA regulations </li><li>Computer skills. </li><li>Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing. </li><li>Experience in a laboratory setting.</li></ul><br><strong>Over 40 years of sustainability in action.
