This is a Driver in Training position that will be learning the safe transport of hazardous and regulated waste materials using box trucks, tankers, vans, and roll-off dump trucks. (based on experience level) + overtime opportunities. </li><li>Comprehensive health benefit coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Learn to transport hazardous waste safely in compliance with Transport Canada and TDG regulations.</li><li>Responsible for learning to ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous /non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.)</li><li>Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.</li><li>Transfers material, equipment, kits, and supplies required for efficient material flow through production/assembly areas.</li><li>Physically transfers material to assembly workstations, maintains bench stock and handles completed assemblies, jobs between work areas or cost centers. Locates, and transfers part shortages within the warehouse that may be required for completion of assemblies.</li><li>Verifies and maintains associated stock records, logs, shortage reports and other documentation.</li><li>Utilizes small hand tools and may operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handlers, skids, hand trucks and the like.</li><li>Responsible for learning the proper placarding of vehicle to meet Company, Transport Canada, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements/regulations.</li><li>Learning how to maintain daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation required; Class 3 license considered a strong asset. </li><li>Clean Driving record. </li><li>Previous industrial warehouse and inventory experience required. </li><li>Forklift operating experience highly preferred. </li><li>Strong communication and relationship building skills to assist customers. </li><li>Vacuum truck operating experience considered a strong asset. </li><li>Experience in the hazardous waste or environmental services industry is an asset. </li><li>Comfortable working in a physically demanding role that also includes sales responsibilities. </li><li>Strong computer skills and proficiency with basic software applications required.</li></ul><br><strong>Safety-Kleen Systems, </strong>a Clean Harbors company, has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
