Detect and locate underground utilities for clients to prevent damage to existing infrastructures.<strong> Transitioning Military</strong>, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life. <br><br><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting - Refinery, Petrochemical, Utilities, etc.</strong><br><br><strong>POSITION LOCATED IN: Bakersfield/ San Ardo CA</strong><br><br><strong>WORK SCHEDULE: Dependent on contracts with customers</strong><br><br><strong>PLEASE READ ALL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT!!!!</strong><br><br><strong>***GREAT PAY & BENEFITS***</strong><br><br><strong>Why work for HPC-Industrial?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment</li><li>Group 401K with company matching component</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong><br><br><ul><li>Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Access pipeline maps and familiarize self with location, plan and layout job to Federal Guidelines and Standards;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Survey site for hazards and consult with client on job specifics;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Write up hazard assessment on each specific job and location;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Consult data base for existing line locating sketches;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Proceed to locate all known underground utilities;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Conduct a four (4) way blind scan for unknown underground utilities;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Mark all signals found on site;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Update line locator sketches or draw up new ones;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Walk through with inspector/client;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Sign off on all hazard assessments and job activities;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Maintain vehicles and equipment;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Update backup data base files and initiate all billing requirements;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Keeping current with updated detection technology and locating procedures;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Train and supervise new line locators;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Promote the Locating Services and other Services offered by Clean Harbors.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Strong sense of urgency, initiative and judgment with ability to work in a demanding, fast- paced environment handling multiple priorities;</li></ul><br><ul><li>Valid Driver's License</li></ul><br><ul><li>Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li></ul><br><strong>About HPC-Industrial:</strong> <br><br><strong>HPC-Industrial</strong>, powered by Clean Harbors, is the premier industrial cleaning and environmental services company in North America supporting the upstream, downstream, and utility sectors. <strong>HPC-Industrial</strong> offers an exceptional three-pronged safety system, innovative career development platform, committed customer service, deep industry expertise, and advanced technology and automation.
