They will be responsible for performing basic labor tasks (both indoors and outdoors), assisting operators, chemists and other associates with pre/post trip inspections, equipment maintenance/set up, and general duties required to complete work, such as debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.<br><br><strong>Please note before applying - there is no fly in fly out option for this position - must be local to Fort McMurray</strong><br><br><strong>Shift Schedule: </strong><br><br><ul><li>12-hour shifts (6am - 6pm) </li><li>10 days on, 10 days off schedule.</li></ul><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages: $35.50</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits cover 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.</li><li>Using hand tools (shovel, rake, vacuum hose, and pressure washers etc.).</li><li>Assist the operator with all job duties: Pre/Post Trip inspections; performing field level risk assessments; equipment set up; proper usage of equipment</li><li>Complete basic equipment and tool maintenance, including basic repairs</li><li>Examine and repair, as needed, all equipment upon arrival at the branch office, and identify them appropriately (requires R&M, ready for shipment) as required</li><li>Conduct yard inventory, daily completion of the Shop Cleaning Checklist to ensure the shop always remains clean and tidy</li><li>Perform general duties required to complete work, such as debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.</li><li>Operate a variety of equipment, such as forklifts.</li><li>Complete general shop work including washing equipment and parts pickup and delivery.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Class 5 Driver's License required.</li><li>Forklift license is a strong asset. </li><li>Ability to work both day and night shifts.</li><li>Experience assisting operators on vacuum trucks and/or heavy equipment highly preferred.</li><li>Previous industrial/waste handling experience is a strong asset.</li><li>Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day.</li><li>Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.</li></ul><br><strong>40-years of sustainability in action.</strong> Clean Harbors is the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
