This team member is responsible for supporting work during industrial tank cleaning operations which will entail following all site-specific safety guidelines and protocols; as we all, following instructions from the site supervisory personnel and various other responsibilities. The <strong>Tank Cleaning Technician I </strong>serves as a representative of <strong>HPC-Industrial</strong> in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers. <strong>Transitioning Military</strong>, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and traning as youreturn to civilian life. <br><br>Technician operates a variety of mechanical and manual servicing equipment, such as centrifugal for industrial services, waste management, and tank cleaning. with HPC established methods, policies, practices and procedures and applicable regulations.<br><br><strong>Why work for HPC-Industrial?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment</li><li>Group 401K with company matching component</li><li>Own part of Clean Harbors with our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (U.S. Only)</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times; </li><li>Transporting, carrying, and connecting hoses, fittings, pumps, and other site related equipment; </li><li>Monitoring and operation of special equipment such as pumps, breathing air equipment, and tools to enable the cleaning of tanks; </li><li>Operate equipment according to procedures and safe practices </li><li>Ability to follow orders from site supervisory personnel; </li><li>Donning and doffing HazMat PPE and entering confined spaces to aid in the cleaning of large storage tanks; </li><li>May be required to perform physically strenuous duties such as removal of product or sludes while in the tank wearing HazMat PPE; </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>2+ years related experience.</li><li>May have to provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).</li><li>Basic safety courses including site specific procedures; All required local training, Successful completion of all required and OSHA training as a condition of employment.</li><li>Must be physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities or his/her position.</li><li>Must have access to a telephone.
