{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"159374_Edmonton","client":"Clean Harbors","title":"Shutdown E/O Laborer","description":"Clean Harbors is looking for <strong>Seasonal Skilled Labourers</strong> to join our turnaround team on a temporary basis.<br><br>This position requires the candidate to safely perform labor tasks including, but not limited to - confined space entry working in vessels or tanks, rigging in and out, working at heights, high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI and assisting with job site preparation.<br><br>You would be supporting projects that will require <strong>100% travel</strong>. Availability is necessary for training starting in March with projects spanning August to November 2026 with the potential to join our team in a permanent role.<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!;</li><li>Earn a competitive wage depending on qualifications and previous experience;</li><li>On the job training will be provided to all employees;</li><li>Travel and accommodations are provided;</li><li>Personal Protective Equipment is provided to all employees;</li><li>Multiple shift options available to work (6/1, 12/2, 18/3, or 24/4).</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Operate one or more of the following equipment types: Wet Vac Straight Truck; Steam Truck Straight Truck; </li><li>Perform all basic tasks assigned to a laborer including using hand tools (shovel, rake, vacuum hose, and pressure washer), mastering equipment operation, assisting operators with all job duties.</li><li> Pre/Post Trip inspections; performing field level risk assessments; setting up equipment, ensuring proper usage of equipment, performing general duties required to complete work (Debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.). </li><li>Responsible for safe operation of equipment</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li><strong>Class 5 non-GDL Driver's License required;</strong></li><li>May be required to provide a 5-year driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerits.</li><li>Previous shutdown/turnaround experience is an asset.</li><li>Must be willing to work in Confined Spaces and at heights performing labor-intensive tasks;</li><li>Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience is an asset;</li><li>Previous labor-intensive experience;</li><li>Safety Tickets preferred (i.e., H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space Entry);</li><li>Common Safety Orientation required prior to onboarding.</li><li>Willing to travel for extended periods and work 10-14 hour shifts (accommodations provided);</li><li>Flexibility to work day or night shift as required;</li></ul><br><strong>40-years of sustainability in action.
