Catherine, QC, is looking for an Environmental Technician/General Laborer to join our safety-conscious team!<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and safety are our #1 priority, and we live by it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits</li><li>Competitive salary starting at $27.32/hr </li><li><strong>Overtime opportunities including weekends/ Weekday and weekend work: Must be available Monday through Sunday</strong></li><li>Full health benefits coverage after 30 days</li><li>Group retirement savings plan with company matching</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development at every stage of your career</li><li>Generous paid time off, company-paid training, and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li><li>The company provides vehicles and equipment for work purposes.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensure that health and safety remain a priority, in compliance with rules and policies.</li><li>Operate machinery such as pressure washers, service vehicles with trailers, and vacuum hoses.</li><li>Operate equipment (pumps, vacuum cleaners, jackhammers, etc.).</li><li>Participate in emergency response operations.</li><li>Clean up hazardous waste.</li><li>Clean tanks and other confined spaces.</li><li>Decontaminate equipment.</li><li>Handle hazardous materials.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Valid Class 5 driver's license - preferably with a car;</li><li>Must speak French fluently</li><li>Able to lift at least 50 pounds</li><li>Able to climb and work at least 2 feet above the ground</li><li>Able to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators </li><li>2 years of experience in industry, construction, or general labor preferred.</li><li>Flexible to work schedule (Monday through Sunday)</li><li>Available to work on call, including weekends. </li><li>Have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English and French.</li></ul><br>Over 40 years of sustainable development in action.
